Where do I start?

Here are some other general guidelines to help you get the most from your yoga practice:

Drink LOTS of water before and after yoga class. You will release toxins from your system.

Remember that everyone feels self-conscious at first, but it passes quickly as you get more comfortable with the poses.

   

 

 

There is NO competition in yoga! Wherever you are physically is just fine. This is YOUR personal yoga practice.

LISTEN to your body! There should be no pain in yoga. Only do what you are physically able to do. There are ways to modify most poses so that you can achieve them at the right level for you.

How should I dress & what should I bring?

Please wear comfortable clothes that will stretch with you. Kindly wear clothing that is not too baggy and will allow me to help you make corrections in your poses. Bring a blanket that is not slippery, a yoga mat and a long strap (or men’s necktie) if you have them. Let me know if you need any of these items.

IMPORTANT! Please refrain from eating right before yoga class. It’s best to wait about 2 hours after eating.
